This cute card below was made by my 11yr old daughter, Victoria.  She loves scrapbooking, making cards, coloring digi images with Copics and playing with alcohol inks.  I just wanted to share her card with you today.  The image is from By Lori Designs.  Lori will also be the sponsor over at Scrappin' Chics in September.  Take the time to go through Lori's images, you won't be disappointed.  Ella, the elephant above was also drawn by Lori for The Pink Elephant.

I hope you enjoyed the cards today!  Happy Birthday Becky!!

Now on to the very talented Dandy!  Enjoy hopping around and stay safe if you are living on the East Coast.  I am in North Jersey - no ocean near by but not looking forward to the dangerous winds and rain.  Keep Dry my friends!

Surprise Party! Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Birthday Deborah!!! SURPRISE Blog Hop! Today is Deborah from Scrapping Mammas Birthday! Some of her awesome friends have decided to have a BIG SURPRISE BIRTHDAY HOP since we can't all be in the same place for a SURPRISE party! This is the next best thing!

This blog hop is a one day blog hop to wish a very special woman (fellow crafter) a very special Happy Birthday. So Happy Birthday Deborah (aka Scrapping Mama)!

If you are coming from Janet's Blog  you’re on the right track. If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning  HERE at Lisa's Blog and hop along with us.We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and keeping it a secret from Deborah. Which wasn't easy! You will visit some amazing bloggers who want to wish Deborah the Happiest Birthday EVER! We've each created a card or something extra special JUST for her!  You will see some lovely projects and even have a chance to win some blog candy.

Instead of making a card for Deborah, I decided to make her an altered clipboard which she can use as a frame for any type of picture.  (I wish the pictures were brighter but it is raining so I had to take the pictures inside - never the same as sunlit pictures)

The paper I used is "Where the Heart Is" by My Mind's Eye, misc ribbon, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Stampin' Up Tag and Edge Punch, Prima Flowers, staples, Zip Dry, Xyron, MS and SU adhesives.

The blog candy that I have decided to give away for this hop is an altered clipboard.  The winner (who will be chosen from the comments on Monday) will be able to choose her favorite colors for a personal touch)  I love making clipboards!  I hope you are enjoying the Surprise Hop so far.  I want to thank Lisa for inviting me to be a part of this exciting Surprise... I feel very honored to be a part of such a talented group of ladies!  Happy Birthday Deborah!!!   Now you are off to the very talented Lisa.
Here is the Birthday Girl!  Have a Wonderful Day!

Oh Baby! Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome to the Oh Baby! Blog Hop.... August 4 - 6. Did you arrive from Nancie's Blog? If so, then you are on the right track. If you happened to just pop onto my blog for a visit, you may want to join in on this fun hop and start with the extremely talented Emily.

Thanks to all that stopped by yesterday.  If you missed Day 1, just scroll down to see my baby shower card.  Today I am sharing a baby boy mini album that I am working on for the same niece.  Unfortunately, I was so sick that I didn't get to finish it in time for the shower.  I have 8 pages left to scrap which will be for the grandparents pictures and letters from them.  It is a 7 Gypsies' envelope album that I have been hoarding forever just waiting for the right theme to scrap.  It finally arrived!  lol

I used DCWV Baby Boy Stack.  I never get to scrap for boys since I have 3 girls.  Boy paper never grabs my attention, until now.  I absolutely loved this stack.  The animal theme, green, brown and blue stack went perfectly with Angel's theme for all she wanted for baby Andrew.  I also used {I}ppity stamps, Glitz Design stamps, Close to My Heart Alphabet Pennant (? - not 100% sure of the stamp set I borrowed it from a friend), Hampton Art brown Ink, Bazzil Cardstock, sew easy,  thread, button and ribbon.  She saw what I scrapped so far and loved it!  I can't wait to finish it and mail it to her.  I hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as I loved creating it.

I am giving away blog candy and it is easy peasy to win. All you have to do is leave a comment on each post Aug 4 - 6. If you like what you see, I would love for you to become a follower.

I just realized that I have so many blog candies to mail out still and a few to announce.  I will do one big announcement on Wednesday, August 10.  Sorry for the delay.  But I will need a couple days to see where I left off.

Now off to the very talented Janet to see what she has in store for you.

For my first project, I would like to share a baby shower card that I made for my niece.  She adores dinosaurs and is having a baby boy, (Andrew) in September.  I used basic cardstock, Imaginisce Dino set and buttons from my cousin.  Sorry the picture isn't the best quality.  I forgot to take a picture of it and I already gave it to her.  She lives 4 hours away so I asked her to email me a picture.   I hope you like it.

Christmas in July Hop - Day 4

Welcome to Memories in Tyme Christmas in July blog hop hosted by Lynda!!! After she participated in her first blog hop recently, she knew she needed to host one of her own hops this month so people will start to look at Christmas! Everyone has been working really hard on things this month, and we all hope you enjoy all the fun ideas we are sharing with you!!

If you just happened to stop by my blog, make sure you start at the beginning with Lynda's Blog so you don't miss any holiday projects.

Today is out last day of the hop.  I hope you all enjoyed our projects and got some holiday inspiration.  I am sharing 2 projects with you today.

First Up!  A Simply Betty Stamps Inspired Christmas Tag.  SBS is having a challenge and this month you have to make a tag using brown, cranberry, teal and snow white.  I got as close as I could to the colors.  You still have time to enter the challenge Here. SBS has great digi images and rubber stamps.

My second project got crushed!  I guess I wasn't meant to share my original bag.  First I left my camera in the car then my pup ran across my scrap stuff and the bag got all wrinkled and tore off the handle.  Ugh.  Anyway, I made this cute little bag using the "Slumber Party" cartridge.  I used Christmas paper and a sticker.  This one was super simple, I just might make these to give out holiday treats to my daughter's class this year.
Thank you for hopping along with us the last 4 days.  I will be in a few upcoming hops and hope you will come back to see what I make.

Now for the Blog Candy! This hop is a 4 day hop. Leave a comment for a chance to win a nice giveaway from me. If you comment each day, that will give you 4 chances to win. I will announce the winner on July 27. Please become a follower as I will be in a few hops coming up over the next couple of months, I am sure you will love them all. Thank you for stopping by.... now off to the next talented scrapper Kari.

Christmas in July Hop - Day 3

Welcome to Memories in Tyme Christmas in July blog hop hosted by Lynda!!! After she participated in her first blog hop recently, she knew she needed to host one of her own hops this month so people will start to look at Christmas! Everyone has been working really hard on things this month, and we all hope you enjoy all the fun ideas we are sharing with you!!

If you just happened to stop by my blog, make sure you start at the beginning with Lynda's Blog so you don't miss any holiday projects.

I couldn't resist sharing this picture with you.  I have had this saved on my computer  forever.  I love the beach and Santa! - Try and keep cool, just like the big guy!

Unfortunately, I left my camera in my mom's car today.  I had to work at a pool and my daughter and mom came with me.  My daughter was looking at the pictures I took and she left it in the back seat of the car.  Since I can't share the mini bag I made for today's post, I am sharing a couple things I made 2 years ago for teacher gifts.  The first is a Yankee Candle that I altered using Zip Dry glue, black cardstock, snowflake paper and buttons that I tied with thread then added some stickles to embellish them.
Second are holiday jars.  (This is something you can do for any occasion) I save jars all year long - love to recycle and alter things around the house.  I used Zip Dry glue to adhere the pattern paper to the jars and lids.  I made tags for my girls to sign and tied them on with fibers.  I then filled them up with a mixture of Hershey Kisses.  Fun and simple gifts to make just to let someone know you care.
I laugh when I look at this card, "warm wishes"!  If it gets any warmer, I'm going to melt.  I can't remember which paper this is.  I don't think it is the same company.  I share paper stacks with my cousin and the person who purchases the stack, keeps the binding.  I never wrote the names on a lot of the paper.... shame on me.  I did use my Stampin' Up border punch and tag punch.  I hope you are enjoying the hop so far.

Christmas In July Hop - Day 1

Welcome Memories in Tyme Christmas in July blog hop hosted by Lynda!!! After she participated in her first blog hop recently, she knew she needed to host one of her own hops this month so people will start to look at Christmas! The economy is hard right now, what better way to save money by making wonderful things for your friends and family instead of spending a ton of money you don’t have! Plus if you spend a bit of time and money each month, things will not be so hard at the end! Everyone has been working really hard on things this month, and we all hope you enjoy all the fun ideas we are sharing with you!!

If you just happened to stop by my blog, make sure you start at the beginning with  Lynda's Blog so you don't miss any holiday projects.

Now on to my project. I have decided to make a chipboard mini tag Christmas album. I love to work on mini albums for a couple reasons; they can be done quite quickly, easy to use one paper pack for simple matching and I can print out wallet size photos to easily display on my album. You wouldn't believe how much I paid for this album... I am almost too embarrassed to tell you. hhmm Ok Ok I paid..... 10 cents. Yes, you heard me correctly. It came with 5 chipboard pages but I added an extra page to make it look nicer. I purchased it at Michaels a while ago. I thought they were a dollar and when the cashier rang it up she said "yep still 10 cents." I went back and bought 10 more for a total of 20. What a Deal! They make great teacher gifts and birthday presents.

First off, I chose My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter glitter holiday paper pack. I love these papers! After tracing each side of the pages, I proceeded to cut them out. I attached the paper to one side of each tag with Zip Dry glue then sanded the edges for a clean finish. Next, I punched the ring hole with my crop-a-dile so I will then know where to punch when I put the paper on the other side. I finished adhering the paper on the opposite side, sanded the edges and punched the ring hole again. On the cover, I decided to add the sentiment "Merry Christmas." The sentiment and stamped frame are from {Ippity} stamp set Season's of Joy. I used a glue pad and topped it off with geen flock. It was the first time I used flock and I loved it. I also used misc ribbon, buttons and embellishments to complete this Christmas mini.

Scrappin' Chics July Challenge

Happy July!  July's challenge at Scrappin' Chics is to scrap/alter something with "Your Favorite Song."  I am sharing a layout that I did a while back.  It means a lot to me.  Unfortunately, I was never able to meet my father-in-law as he passed away a year before I met my husband.    Over the years, I have enjoyed hearing the stories about Mark's dad from him and his mom.  One of Mark's favorite songs is "A Candle in the Wind" by Elton John.  Mark is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, which this song is actually about. Ok, enough said.... time to see the layout (remember, this is from my old scrapping days)....

Click on the image to make it larger to read the journaling!

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope you can take time to visit the Scrappin' Chics and see all the awesome projects they are sharing this week.  Make sure to link up your project as well for a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate from Stampin' Up and my good friend, Stasia Sloma, who is the sponsor this month.  You can see all her cards, layouts and information Here.
