Christmas in July Hop - Day 3

Welcome to Memories in Tyme Christmas in July blog hop hosted by Lynda!!! After she participated in her first blog hop recently, she knew she needed to host one of her own hops this month so people will start to look at Christmas! Everyone has been working really hard on things this month, and we all hope you enjoy all the fun ideas we are sharing with you!!

If you just happened to stop by my blog, make sure you start at the beginning with Lynda's Blog so you don't miss any holiday projects.

I couldn't resist sharing this picture with you.  I have had this saved on my computer  forever.  I love the beach and Santa! - Try and keep cool, just like the big guy!

Unfortunately, I left my camera in my mom's car today.  I had to work at a pool and my daughter and mom came with me.  My daughter was looking at the pictures I took and she left it in the back seat of the car.  Since I can't share the mini bag I made for today's post, I am sharing a couple things I made 2 years ago for teacher gifts.  The first is a Yankee Candle that I altered using Zip Dry glue, black cardstock, snowflake paper and buttons that I tied with thread then added some stickles to embellish them.
Second are holiday jars.  (This is something you can do for any occasion) I save jars all year long - love to recycle and alter things around the house.  I used Zip Dry glue to adhere the pattern paper to the jars and lids.  I made tags for my girls to sign and tied them on with fibers.  I then filled them up with a mixture of Hershey Kisses.  Fun and simple gifts to make just to let someone know you care.
Now for the Blog Candy! This hop is a 4 day hop. Leave a comment for a chance to win a nice giveaway from me. If you comment each day, that will give you 4 chances to win. I will announce the winner on July 27. Please become a follower as I will be in a few hops coming up over the next couple of months, I am sure you will love them all. Thank you for stopping by.... now off to the next talented scrapper Kari.

Oh no, I'm sorry I can;t see the bag you made... I hope you can post it later! I love how you decorated that candle. Those yankee candles and bath and body works candles are always my favorite for the holidays, but I hate looking at their labels! Thanks for the idea!

Can't remember where you live, Kimmarie, but I hope your camera didn't melt in the car! These are really cute ideas. The candle is elegant and the jars are the perfect gift for neighbors, teachers and such that you don't want to spend a lot of money on. Thanks for sharing.

Love the Santa picture!! :) Your jars are so cute -- I too save so many jars throughout the year so I have them to repurpose for teacher gifts and more!! I love those buttons on your candle too -- Never thought to add stickles to my buttons -- It looks GREAT!! :)
