Berrylicious Rolodex Cards

Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing rolodex cards I made for a swap that I am hosting with a bunch of fellow DT girls from Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog. I absolutely love the Imaginisce Berrylicious Paper Collection. I won some papers, stamps and stickers from Imaginisce about a month and a half ago and I was hooked right away. What did I do? I bought some more 12 x 12 papers and 6 x 6 sampler from Claudia and Company.

On the front of my cards, I simply scrapped them with the fun Berrylicious papers, matted my picture with the flip side of the paper and on the back I used the flip side of the papers to add some color, stamped the big happy lemon and colored it in with my copic markers, cut it out and adhered it to the card. I added some personal info on the back and my blog address on the front. I may add a button or two but that will be it. The paper speaks for itself! Sara's Birthday & Two Hearts One Love Layout for SOS

I enjoyed making this layout of my daughter, Sara and her boyfriend, Travis. They have been dating for 2 1/2 years now. I think he is "the one". They are a sweet couple. My daughter is in college to become a vascular sonographer. She has it all planned out: graduate, start a career, marriage and children at a young age. I pray it happens for her. She is 19 today! Happy Birthday to my baby.

SOS Jan. Challenge - Layout

I just love this picture of my Emma. She was 2 years old, now she is 8. Time sure does fly by. She was modeling a new swimsuit and accessories. For the "New" I used my new felt Thickers for the title and I borrowed my cousin, Kelly's "New" Martha Stewart scissors that cut paper to look like grass or shredded paper. This was a fun and colorful layout for me to do. Now it's your turn to try the January Challenge.

SOS Jan. Challenge - Layout

I made this layout using a picture from Thanksgiving 2009 of my daughter, Victoria 10and myself. We rarely get a good picture together so I just had to scrap this one. I am not sure what pp I used as it is "New" to me. Whenever my cousin and I buy stacks of paper, we always split it as we will never use it all. She has the cover of this stack and I can't find the name of it. The 2 punches I used are new and are from Martha Stewart and I also used new rhinstones in the middle of the flowers. The "New" technique I did was spraying glitter mist on the vertical diecut coming down from the flower. You can't really see it in the picture but it shines nicely IRL. Thanks for joining me today. SOS January Challenge - My Tags

Hello, today I would like to share with you the tags I have been making and swapping. I joined Kinderstampo's Monthly Tag Swaps, found on facebook. Each month you can choose to join the swap or not. Each month your tags must be postmarked by the 15th and mailed to Jess aka Kinderstampo. Jess sets up a theme each month and you can choose the amount of tags you would like to swap. I try and do between 10 and 20 depending on how crazy my month will be. The top tag was made in November, middle tag was December and last is for January. The "New" in each tag are as follows: Nov.; Cuttlebug Dot embossing pad and buttons, Dec.; I-Rock Tool, Bling and Tim Holtz Die, Jan.; Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza pp and Copics. I really enjoy making tags and receiving them. I am going to challenge myself to get more crafty and detailed in February. Thanks for stopping by... August Challenge at Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog

Hello, August challenge at SOS is to make your own flowers. Unfortunately, I was not able to post tutorial pictures but my flowers are easy peasy. My computer has a huge virus and is being repaired at Staples. Anyway, here is my layout titled: Ready To Bloom.

This is a picture of my 10yr old daughter, Victoria. She wasn't in the picture taking mood that day but I decided she still looked beautiful and this picture represents the "mood - ready to bloom" that she has been in for over a year now. kwim?! lol For picture taking purposes I put white paper behind my layout (that is not part of the layout).

My flowers were made using the Stampin' Up Scallop Punch. After punching the scalloped circles, I cut next to each scallop on a slight angle the inked the petals. I added a button to the center and there you go, instant flower. I learned this trick from my SU friend, Stasia Stasia's Stampzone while scrapping at her house one night. Winner Winner One Day Late for Dinner

First off, I would like to apologize for being a day late in announcing the winner. My hubby decided to take us to the shore for a couple of days. We had a wonderful time and got to spend yesterday with my cousin and her kids (which my kids loved!) When we left today, my mom decided to stay with her sister and Victoria stayed with my cousins... so it was easy for me to decide who was going to pick the blog hop winner.

SOS Christmas in July Blog Hop and Blog Candy

Welcome to the Scrap Our Stash Christmas in July Blog Hop. If you did not come here from Wendy's Blog then I suggest you start at the beginning of the hop at Scrap Our Stash so you can go back and follow the blog hop in order. Now on to my project. I have decided to make a chipboard mini tag Christmas album. I love to work on mini albums for a couple reasons; they can be done quite quickly, easy to use one paper pack for simple matching and I can print out wallet size photos to easily display on my album. You wouldn't believe how much I paid for this album... I am almost too embarrassed to tell you. hhmm Ok Ok I paid..... 10 cents. Yes, you heard me correctly. It came with 5 chipboard pages but I added an extra page to make it look nicer. I purchased it at Michaels a couple weeks ago. I thought they were a dollar and when the cashier rang it up she said "yep still 10 cents." I went back and bought 10 more for a total of 20. What a Deal! They make great teacher gifts and birthday presents.


First off, I chose My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter glitter holiday paper pack. I love these papers! After tracing each side of the pages, I proceeded to cut them out. I attached the paper to one side of each tag with Zip Dry glue then sanded the edges for a clean finish. Next, I punched the ring hole with my crop-a-dile so I will then know where to punch when I put the paper on the other side. I finished adhering the paper on the opposite side, sanded the edges and punched the ring hole again. On the cover, I decided to add the sentiment "Merry Christmas." The sentiment and stamped frame are from {Ippity} stamp set Season's of Joy. I used a glue pad and topped it off with green flock. It was the first time I used flock and I loved it. I also used misc ribbon, buttons and embellishments to complete this Christmas mini.

Scrapping with Your Kids, Simply Betty Stamps, SOS and Layout Share

Do you scrap with your kids? I do! Not all the time but I do let them join in on the fun once in a while. When I have a project due or I am on a time schedule, I don't invite them to scrap with me because I usually have to stop to help Emma, my 7 year old, either cut something, find an embellie or help her glue something down. Victoria, my 10 year old, is much different. She has no problem finding exactly what she needs and gets busy. Last week Emma had a playdate at her girlfriend's house so Victoria and I decided to play with stamps. I have never been a good embosser (still not even after playing with it over an hour that day - lol), so we tried using glitter and flocking with a glue pad. We both enjoyed working with those embellishments and decided that flocking is our new fav.

The other day, I came home to find that Victoria had made 2 layouts using stamps, flocking, coloring and brads. They are cute beginner pages! I am so happy that she is interested in this exciting hobby. She can explore her own way of scrapping over time and grow with it.

The first layout I am sharing is one that she has made using 3 stamps from Simply Betty Stamps from the Emo Kids line (Lola, Rio and London) Simply Betty Stamps is a brand new stamp company and has come out with really creative stamps and digis. The day I received the Emo Girls in the mail, my girls went crazy choosing their favorite. Victoria made this layout of her and her sisters with their favorite Emo Girls to the left of their picture. She chose some Halloween colors, pictures from 2 years ago, bat punch and some stickles to write the work "imagine". I think she did a great job coloring and cutting out the stamped images. The second layout I am sharing is a layout that Victoria has created using brads. This falls in line with the challenge at http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/ for July. July's challenge is to use brads/eyelets on your creation to have a chance to become a GDT for September. We are also featuring new sketches each month.

My Frugal Friday Tip for SOS

"I am tired of misplacing my loose buttons. I know I must have plenty of storage spaces, I think too many is the problem. lol I like to see what I have instead of hiding things in drawers and containers. I am very bad at labeling my storage. Each month I throw away a few medicine bottles when I refill hubby's medicine. I thought to myself "what a waste!' I decided to alter these containers to store my buttons in. All I did was find some fun Sassafrass paperscraps to use, ink up the edges with my brown stazon ink and adhere it with glue dots. I also punched out some paper for the top of the containers and on one I added ribbon with glue dots. I want to make 6 total. His medicine comes in all different size bottles so it works out great for me! Do you have any household items that you alter for storage? How about a Frugal Friday Tip? Sara's Graduation Invites and A layout Scrapped!

Scrap Out Stash is having a fun challenge this month, Think Out of the Box. These are a couple of my creations.

The first is Sara's Graduation invitations... I do make cards, but never invitations. It is so different for me is because I did not ink, sand or distress any part of the card or insert. The only ink on the invite is the stamped graduation cap and the info that I printed from my computer on the insert. This card is very clean cut for me. I do have to admit, I am very happy with the way it turned out. The products that I used are Stampin Up' cardstock, blue writer to color stamp and punch for the pull tab, MM brad, stamp unknown and Tim Holtz new Alterations Movers and Shapers bigz diecut.




The second is an 8 x 8 layout that I did with a picture from Mother's Day 2009. It was Out of the Box because I never scrap the color purple.

Big Sis Layout/Scrap Our Stash March Challenge

I made this 8 x 8 layout for Emma's 7th birthday album I am working on. I followed the March Challenge at Scrap Our Stash challenge blog. The challenge for March is to use something old and something new from your stash. You can find the direct link in the right column.

"Emma had a party where the girls got their nails, hair and makeup done. After all the pretties were done, they got dressed up in popstar outfits and did a fashion show and karaoke. What a great birthday party it was.

Title: Big Sis
The Old embellishments that I used for this layout are the Queen & Co. flowers, an inchie square (top right) that I received from a friend (Patrizzia) during an inchie swap a couple years ago and pink ink.

The New goodies are the papers from Glitz Design Divalicious paper pack, ribbon and rhinestones from Michaels, Thicker Stickers and my Martha Stewart border punch.

March Challenge at Scrap Our Stash Blog

The Scrap Our Stash March Challenge is to do a project using something OLD (from your stash) and something NEW. This can be anything you want to do - just stick with the OLD / NEW prompt. Your project does not have to be a card or layout - it can be anything you want to create. Once you have completed your project email a picture and a brief discription of how your project related to the Old/New prompt to scrappinpsycho@live.com .

My Clipboard for SOS blog and other DT reveals

I created this school clipboard with scraps that I had leftover from an apple mini album that I created for the girls first day of school which was Sept. 9, 2009. I used Imaginisce pp, rubons, misc ribbon and buttons. I am going to hang this as a picture frame in my scraproom. Just another fun way to display pictures.
